The famous Amfissa Olive Grove, a part of the Delphic landscape, is the oldest attested olive grove in Greece and it has been nominated as a world heritage site by UNESCO. It occupies the largest continuous area, since it spreads from Amfissa to the Gulf of Corinth, and it consists of 1,200,000 olive trees, some of which seem to have been planted centuries ago. According to historical sources, the first to cultivate olive trees in this area were the Pelasgians during prehistoric times, and this kind of use of the land has never changed since then. The Amfissa olive grove has been declared “traditional” and it is protected through special legal provisions.
We at ARIANA are proud because most of our olives are produced in the oldest and biggest olive grove in our country and processed in our production unit situated there!
